Girding her loins and jumping into the fray, an American expat from Seattle muses on culture, food, activities, people — and anything else that comes to mind — in the land of the rising sun glitz and neon, better known as Las Vegas.

Do you have any now? (oh, sorry, are you owned by any cats currently?)
I didn't understand the battery thing.
Hi joeinvegas. Unfortunately, I'm not owned by any cats at the moment, although I do share living space with two cats who belong to my daughter and her husband. One of them, Lilly, a 9-year-old half Turkish Van, half Manx, who keeps me in constant stitches with her adorable antics--sitting like a Buddha, or sleeping/running/playing with her pink tongue hanging out. The other is Murray, a very sweet-tempered 16-year-old caramel-colored Persian who sleeps about 23 hours a day.
The video battery thing was about the static electricity that comes off cats' fur when you pet them. I'm always getting shocked. I thought that part of the video was hysterical, especially the cats' non-cooperation (so typical!).
